My paintings are characterized by new, bold searches for shapes, colors, and textures. I don’t limit myself to a genre,
I express my love for painting in technical solutions and endless searches.
Since 2012, I have participated in the exhibitions “Bybloss”, “War” and “Das sind wir” organized by the association OctopusArtProjects in Hamburg, in 2015 in the international group exhibition “Genesis” in the Jurmala City Museum,
In 2019, I participated in the international competition exhibition “The taste of Life”. I have also participated in the competition exhibition “Jāzeps Pīgožņas award in Latvian landscape painting” Riga St. Peter’s Church in Riga and also in the exhibition “#artefakts#piektā civilization” in the Grata JJ art gallery of the cultural center MuseumLV in Riga. As well as in the 4th International Art Biennale “Marina 2023”.
I paint because I can not live without doing it. I have been fond of drawing and painting since early childhood.
“Creation is a very paradoxical state of consciousness and essence. It means letting something happen through you. It means becoming a corridor through which the existence flows through you. A song flows through you, but you are not its creator.” (Osho).
When I paint I become a bridge between me and God. I become a means of expression.
“People often try to live backwards: they try to have more things or more money so that they can do more of what they want and be happier. In fact, everything is quite different. First you have to be who you really are, and then you have to do what you have to do to get what you want.” (Marguerite Young).
My paintings always reflect what I feel at that moment. When I devote myself to art, I become full of peace and joy, love flows from me, and therefore my works always have a soul and a story. Art overwhelms me completely – so that the ego disappears.
I agree with I. Ziedonis: “And I realized that it is necessary to stand still.” The day will then come by itself, and the night itself will come to you. And you don’t have to run anywhere, and you don’t have to rush for anything, you just have to feel the rhythm of things and find yourself in these rhythms.”
My goal is to bring joy to the viewer with my paintings, to help them find themselves in the rhythms of things.
